dr. N.G.M. (Nanouk) Hermans - Wiemer

Na het behalen van mijn artsexamen in 2005 aan de universiteit Leiden ben ik opgeleid tot oogarts in het VU Medisch Centrum in Amsterdam en het Westfries Gasthuis in Hoorn. Daarnaast heb ik in deze periode (2005-2008) een proefschrift geschreven over mijn onderzoek naar veranderingen in de refractie van het oog door diabetes mellitus. Sinds 2013 maak ik als oogarts in Alrijne ziekenhuis met veel plezier deel uit van de vakgroep oogheelkunde. Ik vind de oogheelkunde een prachtig veelzijdig vak, waarin je veel kunt betekenen voor mensen van jong tot oud. Daarnaast houd ik me graag bezig met onderwijs en opleiding van onze oogartsen in opleiding en onze co-assistenten. Binnen de vakgroep ben ik verantwoordelijk voor deze opleiding.

Aandachtsgebieden

Voorsegmentchirurgie (staaroperaties), medische retina (diabetes mellitus), echografie van het oog.
